Holidays in Rodeneck and the surrounding area

authentic, cultural and in close contact with nature…

Rodeneck is right at the entrance to the Puster Valley above the village of Mühlbach. There are plenty of leisure activities available in our village, including:

Nordic walking: you can try out a taster lesson and also book guided tours.

Tennis: there are two tennis courts in Rodeneck

Bowling: Haus Rodank in the village of Rodeneck has a fully automatic bowling alley.

Paragliding: you can book a tandem flight with the local experts and explore our area from up above.

Culture: For culture lovers, Rodenegg Castle is a good tip. Construction started in 1140, and it was later enlarged and renovated. It has sturdy fortifications and the oldest existing secular cycle of Iwein epic frescoes, which date from the 13th century. The castle chapel, wedding hall and forge are all worth seeing.

Tradition: Vintl is home to the Loden Museum, a living museum where you can find out about the manufacture of traditional loden cloth; Brixen has the Museum of Pharmacy and the Crib Museum, and in Bolzano there is the Archaeological Museum with the famous glacier mummy, Oetzi.

Shopping: The ancient diocesan town of Brixen is a wonderful place for a quick shopping trip, with plenty of traditional and modern South Tyrolean goods to buy.
